The Lower Division starts at age eight and  ranges from Level I with three hours a week up to Level III, which has six hours a week. These levels focus more on technique, proper body alignment, and the skills needed to prepare students for the Upper School. They start taking only ballet and jazz and slowly add modern and Pointe classes. Students are moved up based on skill and progress, not automatically.
