Mary Anne Servian
Managing Director Mary Anne Servian has been with The Sarasota Ballet since 2010. She began as the Business Manager and in June 2011 was appointed Managing Director.
Servian has an extensive business career, primarily in the Savings and Loan business in a variety of management positions. She also worked in the Financial Services Division of Boeing which eventually became First Operations Resource, and was responsible for large scale installation of software systems for financial institutions.
In 1995 Servian moved full-time to Sarasota where she and her late husband owned the Servian Group, a Business Brokerage Firm. She was responsible for business development and all financial due-diligence as she assisted clients in their acquisitions.
Servian enjoyed a significant career consulting with municipalities and local governments to improve their management and operation practices. She is well known in Sarasota having been elected to serve as City Commissioner for the City of Sarasota from 2001 - 2007, during which time she also served as Vice Mayor and Mayor from 2004 - 2006. Previously she was a Vice President for large regional Savings and Loan in Pennsylvania. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Business and attended Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government for a Mid Career Masters in Public Administration.
