We are ecstatic to officially announce our 30th Anniversary Season! This year's collection of ballets celebrates the highlights and growth of the Company especially under Director Iain Webb's leadership, now commencing his fourteenth season in the role. With seven Company Premieres set to take stage and so much more, the 30th Anniversary Season is a celebration of The Sarasota Ballet's past, present, and future.
This year sees the return of repertory favorites such as George Balanchine's Serenade, Paul Taylor's Company B, Will Tuckett's Changing Light, and Dame Ninette de Valois' Checkmate, among others. Company Premieres include Sir David Bintley's vibrant and dazzling The Spider's Feast, Sir Frederick Ashton's gripping full-length adaptation of William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, and Mark Morris' The Letter V. This Season will close with an extraordinary program featuring the work of three female choreographers who so greatly influenced the development and popularization of ballet in the 20th century.
