Witness the growth and excellence of the 2023 Summer Intensive Students
The dancers have been carefully trained in ballet technique, reaching for exact placement of limbs in the air and finishing phrases, and looking extremely well-rehearsed.
A chance to celebrate young dancers this summer!
Join us for The Sarasota Ballet’s InMotion performances – Thursday, July 27 at 7:30 PM; Friday, July 28 at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM; and Saturday, July 29 at 2:00 PM at the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.
These performances showcase the talent of future artists of the dance world, featuring the multitude of students who have spent the last 3 – 5 weeks developing their artistry and technique under the careful guidance of The Sarasota Ballet’s exceptional faculty. The students performing come from dance schools across North America and are ages 11-21.
Casting will be as follows:
Thursday evening/Friday matinee – Level 1, 2B, 3A, 4A and 4B
Friday evening/Saturday matinee – Level 2A, 3B, 4A and 4B
Repertoire will include:
Concerto in D by The Sarasota Ballet’s Resident Choreographer, Ricardo Graziano
An American Hymn by Assistant Education Director Dierdre Miles Burger
Excerpts from Coppélia staged by Company Principal Dancer Macarena Gimenez
New Choreography by Company Principal Dancer Maximiliano Iglesias and Assistant Ballet Master Octavio Martin
New Choreography by Faculty Members Jennifer Welch Cudnik, Risa Kaplowitz and Addul Manzano
