Let your child discover the magic of dance in a joyful and imaginative program designed just for them. In these early levels, students are introduced to movement and music through playful storytelling, rhythm games, and creative exploration—all while learning the foundational principles of ballet.
Classes are led by nurturing and experienced teachers who understand the importance of age-appropriate instruction and child development. Through the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, young dancers build coordination, focus, musicality, and confidence in a safe and uplifting environment.
The first step into the world of ballet. In Pre-Primary A, our youngest dancers discover movement through imaginative play, storytelling, and music. Classes are designed around the natural curiosity and energy of this age group, using games, props, and guided exploration to introduce basic body awareness, coordination, and listening skills. No prior dance experience is needed — only a love for movement and music.
Building on the joy and curiosity sparked in Pre-Primary A, this level deepens a child’s connection to rhythm, spatial awareness, and basic ballet concepts. Classes gently introduce simple ballet vocabulary alongside creative movement, group activities, and musicality exercises — all within a nurturing and playful environment.
At this level, young dancers begin to explore more structured ballet fundamentals — including basic ballet vocabulary, simple progressions across the floor, and foundational jumping exercises — all woven into imaginative class themes that keep learning joyful and engaging. This level is eligible to participate in The Nutcracker and the Year-End Performance.
In Primary B, dancers build confidence and consistency as their ballet vocabulary continues to grow. Classes refine alignment, placement, and musicality while encouraging movement as part of an ensemble, expanding on the foundational vocabulary from Primary A. This level is eligible to participate in The Nutcracker and the Year-End Performance.
The final level of the Primary Division, Primary C prepares young dancers for the more structured training ahead. Here, they develop greater focus, strength, and physical coordination as they master the full range of Primary-level technique. By the end of this level, dancers demonstrate a strong understanding of spatial awareness, correct alignment, teamwork, and musical sensitivity — the essential building blocks for Levels 1 and beyond.
