The Sarasota Ballet School
At The Sarasota Ballet School, we believe every child deserves the chance to shine. Our world-class ballet training begins at age 3 and is designed to inspire creativity, nurture individuality, and build confidence—step by step.
With a strong commitment to excellence and student development, our faculty—made up of certified educators and former professional dancers—foster an environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. We support each student’s growth as both a dancer and an individual, offering high-quality training in a setting that values discipline, creativity, and personal progress.
We are proud to teach the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9 level program that combines high-quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.
Primary Levels
AGES 3-7
Discover the joy of dance through imaginative movement, music, and storytelling. Young dancers ages three to seven build confidence, creativity, and coordination while learning the foundational principles of ballet in a fun, engaging, and nurturing environment.
Levels 1 – 4
AGES 8+
As students progress through our Upper Levels, they develop strength, discipline, and artistry while refining their classical ballet technique. Alongside ballet, dancers expand their training with Character, Progressing Ballet Technique, Pre-Pointe, and Pointe classes.
Adult Program
AGES 16+
Our Adult Program welcomes dancers ages 16 and up of all experience levels. With six class levels—from Basic Ballet for beginners to advanced Pointe—there’s a place for everyone to enjoy the art of ballet and learn in a welcoming, supportive environment year-round.
