Favorite quote: “Art is not what you see, but what you make others see” – Edgar Degas.
Favorite role: Sugarplum Fairy; I love everything about this iconic role—from its artistic challenges and technical demands, to the wonderful Tchaikovsky music. The pas de deux music is my all-time-favorite ballet music to listen to—so much so that I listen to it all-year-round, even when it is not the holiday season.
Favorite costume: Tutu for Act 1 Dream Scene Solo in Raymonda. I wore this tutu for a competition when I was younger, and it was cream-colored and embellished with gold, sparkly sequences. The headpiece was also gold, and I remember feeling elated when I wore this tutu and performed this variation on stage.
Fun Fact: I’m a certified pilates mat instructor—and am looking forward to becoming fully certified over time.
