Renato Paroni
Renato Paroni de Castro was born in Brazil and has worked internationally, as a dancer with the Ballet at La Scala Opera House Milan and Ballet du Nord in Roubaix, and as a freelance ballet teacher, coach and choreographer.
Now based in London, Renato has been a guest teacher with English National Ballet, Scottish Ballet, Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, Royal Swedish Ballet, Norwegian National Ballet, Ballet de Cidade de Sao Paulo, Northern Ballet Theatre, Ballet Rambert, Random and Arc dance companies. He teaches class regularly at Dance Works, Marylebone Dance Studio and elsewhere in London, and has individually coached many leading dancers.
Among his choreographic credits, Renato has created works in London; Heart Time (Riverside Studios 1998), Point Counterpoint (The Place 2000), The Phoenix and the Turtledove (Artelier 2006), Four Love Pieces and a Dance (Artelier, Bridewell Theatre 2007) and in Budapest and Debrecen (2007 & 2008) for the Hungarian dancer Henriett Tunyogi, to the piano music of Kodaly. His latest work, Rococo Variations, premiered in London with Images of Dance (31 May 2008).
